Thank you for considering me to be a part of your life. Eye Doctors are just one of the many people you meet in life but we have the pleasure of working with you every year! As your Optometrist, I want our relationship to be a good one. So you feel comfortable to share with me your medical or vision concerns. That is why I spend extra time with you and listen to your concerns as well as get to know something about you. I cant wait to see you in my chair so I can help you see clearly again.
A Little History & Family Information
Where I Have Lived
I was born in East Rockaway, New York. My family moved to Deltona, Florida when I was 6 years old. Then I moved to Jacksonville, Florida in 2002 for College up until I went to Optometry School. So I consider myself to be a Floridan. I Went to Optometry School in Bayamon, Puerto Rico and lived there for 4 years. Then I moved back up to Fleming Island, Florida where I still live today.
Interests
I enjoy alot of things. The usual reading, relaxing and travel. We live in Florida so I love the beach, St. Augustine and Disney. What makes me unique is my love for music and dancing with my kids in the kitchen, walking and biking with my family, playing with my two cockapoos, Camping with my family ok Glamping, and my love of Eyes.
Family
My Family and I live in Fleming Island, Florida. My Husband (Van) and I have 3 beautiful and crazy kids. They are Carly, Tyler and Dylan. We also have 2 dogs they are Cockapoos named Teddy and Trixie.
Education
High School: I attended Deltona High School. I was in the Health Academy and job shadowed Optometrist during school. This is when I knew I wanted to be an Eye Doctor.
Undergraduate: I attended UNF in Jacksonville, Fl. 2002-2006. Earned my AA, BS in Psychology and Minor in Public Health. Some post grad courses in Behavioral Therapy.
Graduate: I attended IAUPR- InterAmerican University School of Optometry Puerto Rico. This school gave me the ability to not only learn how to be a wonderful, compassionate and well rounded Optometrist but they also had me do it in Spanish! I embraced the Puerto Rician culture and food.
Optometry
School: 2008-2012. I was a member of Vosh and held a position as secretary. I traveled to Dominican Republic for a weekend to do voluntary eye exams. We saw 100’s of patients.
Volunteered Service in the Diabetes expo 2010 in Puerto Rico
Awarded Doctor of Optometry Legendary Patient Care Award 3rd quater 2017 from Sams Club.
